Returning to Stormwind, I surveyed the Auction House, only to find prices exceeding my meager 5g balance. Disappointed, I opted not to make any purchases. Turning my attention to the trade chat, I encountered the familiar elitist messages: “LFM BFD 7/7 must have pre-BiS, shadow pot req, whisper GS MS OS,” or some variation of it.

Assessing my gear – featuring drab shoulders, level 14 greens, a lone ring, and no blues except for my trusty Westfall staff – I realized my chances were slim. Nevertheless, a more modest LFM post caught my eye: “LFM BFD 7/7 need healer and DPS.”
